Planning & Zoning meeting minutes for 10-10-47
Members present; Mayor Brad Anderson., Jerry Hansen, Bruce Case,
Dennis Bateman, Brian Stutzman, Adrian Beazer, Kurt.
Meeting started with talk about traffic issues in the future from planned
development contributing more traffic to Iona road and how to reroute this
to Lincoln and Yellowstone. Suggested that Foothill could be connected
from lona road to the existing road below Panorama and connect to
Yellowstone Highway. Also an additional road would need to be planned for
above Foothill to collect traffic and dump onto Lincoln and Yellowstone.
These would need to be put in the comp plan and impact area planning.
Kurt said that we need to get the county to recognize our city plans for
growth and our city rules. We need to propose new impact zone to the
county and justify the expansion and send it to the county P&L. Suggested
that we use that next meeting to plan expansion so that this will fall in line
with the Comp plan.
Some time was spent on proposing commercial and industrial zones on the
city map. An area from 49th north to approximately to the curve of the R.R.
tracks was set as an industrial commercial area. Some (blob) areas were set
oncomers of 49h & 45s` e, lona rd & 45w e, 55s' e & Lincoln rd.
Kurt present a draft of the Comp plan and asked that the board look it over
and in two weeks we will meet to discus changes and additions.
