Work Meeting Minutes,
October 24, 2007
Attendees: Jerry Hansen, Adrian Beazer, Mayor Brad Anderson, Brian Stutzman, Kirt
Hibbard, and visitor Sally Price
1. Meeting began at 8 pm
2. After loolcing at the BMPA map, It is apparent the county has not planned for the
roads needed to support the new neighborhoods up on Iona hill. _
3. It was decided that at the next PdiZ meeting we recommend to the Iona City
Council to make changes to the impact zone, including enlarging the .area, and
most importantly, ask the city council to negotiate with the county so that our
P&Z rules and regulations apply within the impact area.
4. Brian Stutzman agreed to tally the results of the community surveys so they can
be in the comprehensive plan.
5. Kurt was going to call Microserve and have the Comprehensive plan put on the
City of Iona's website.
6. It was agreed that the following scheduled meetings will occur
a. November 7, 6 pm, regular .P&Z meeting
b. November 14, 6-8 pm, P&Z. Open House for Comprehensive Plan
c. Move the December P&Z meeting to November 28s'.
d. November 28th, 6-8 pm, the P&Z to have a public heating on the Comp
Plan, and recommend it to the city council
e. The city council to vote on acceptance on December 18, 2007
7. Brian will ask Betty to do appropriate 15 day public notices for the above
meetings.
8. Brian will make up flyers to generate interest for the November 14h open house.
9. Brian will ask Betty to put a note on the water trill, along with a reminder to vote
10. We agreed to discuss dog kennels at the next P&Z meeting.
11. Brian agreed to ask Betty to secure refreshments at the November 14h open house
12. Kurt to bring 5 copies of the comp plan, with maps and things.
13. We agreed to review un-annexed land within the city limits at our next meeting.
