Dear Betty,
We had a Planning and Zoning meeting last night and Mayor Anderson asked me to
contact you and ask that you help us in the following ways. The list is long and I
appreciate your help.
1. Attached are the minutes from the last 2 meetings. Would you keep a binder with
these notes in them, and keep them for public review in your office? I will fax
you the future notes so you can add them to the binder.
2. We need you to do the "15 day public notice" flyer you do for the following three
meetings:
a. November 14s' "Comprehensive Plan Open House" 6-8 at the city
building
b. November28's, Iona P&Z "Public Hearing regarding the Comprehensive
Plan" 6-8 pm at the city building
c. December 18, City Council "Public Hearing regarding the Comprehensive
Plan" at the time the city council is scheduled to meet for their regular
meeting.
3. On next week's water bill, the Mayor asked if you would put something like the
following " City Elections, Vote November 6s'. Concerned about Growth? Comp
Plan Open House Nov 14s', 6-8 pm, City Building." I hope this fits.
4. Mayor said to ask you to obtain refreshments for the November 14s' open house.
Perhaps 50 donuts and a couple gallons of milk and paper cups.
Please feel free to call me if there are any questions. The P&Z committee appreciates
your help in these matters.

The mayor said you might help us with this. We were hoping to have the following put
on the next water bill.
The lona Planning and Zoning committee .is in need of a secretary. This is a volunteer
position that takes about 2 hours per month in the evening. This is a great way to help
out lona and be involved in the growth and the future of Iona. Call Jerry Hansen at 523-
0022 for more info.
