J 5 Ft3, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING A 15 FOOT WIDE ROADWAY EASEMENT ALONG THE SOUTHERN SIDE OF THE 500 BLOCK OF UNION STREET AND VACATING A 35 FOOT WIDE ROADWAY EASEMENT ALONG THE NORTHERN SIDE OF THE 500 BLOCK OF UNION STREET, IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI. WHEREAS, it has been shown to the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that City Staff have recommended the City Council vacate roadway easements on the northern and southern side of the 500 block of Union Street; and WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or the citizens of the City to discontinue the roadway easements for public use as described in Section 1 of this Ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares it necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue roadway easements the areas described along the northern and southern sides of the 500 block of Union Street in the City of Jefferson, Missouri and forever vacate the following described roadway easements in said City: Part of outlots numbers 80, 81, and 85 and an easement recorded in Book 175 page 512, Cole County Recorder's Office in the City of Jefferson, Missouri being more particularly described in Exhibit A. Section 2. The statutory right of reversion to the owners of the abutting property is hereby confirmed, as is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, and the Mayor and the City Clerk which are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments required to confirm the reversionary rights of the owners of property abutting on the area vacated, as described in Section 1 of this ordinance. Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage.
