Present: Mayor, Thomas Anderson; Councilmembers, Thomas Crosby, Anne Heideman, Wilfred Scherer; Clerk -Treasurer, Donna Roehl Absent: Councilmember, William Reiser 1. TERRY LINGEN, ROGER LINGEN, MICHAEL LARSON LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATIONS Council reviewed Liquor license applications of Terry Lingen, Roger Lingen and Michael Larson, purchasers of the Hill Liquor. Applicants had been investigated by the Police Department and had been approved, although the cities ordinance requires that all license holders must be residents of the city and Roger Linden is not a current resident. Donna Roehl reported that a previous licensee had been granted a license on the condition that he become a resident of the city within six months. She also explained that the State of Minnesota does not have such a re- quirement and that the codified ordinances refer to State Statutes. Moved by Scherer, seconded by Heideman to grant an On -Sale Intoxicating Liquor License to Terry Lingen, Roger Lingen and MichaelLarson_, for the remainder of the 1984-85 License period. Motion declared carried Moved by Scherer, seconded by Heideman to grant an Off -Sale Intoxicating Liquor License to Terry Lingen, Roger Lingen, and Michael Larson, for the remainder of the 1984-85 license period. Motion declared carried Moved by Scherer, seconded by Heideman to grant a Sunday Liquor License to Terry Lingen, Roger Lingen and Michael Larson for the remainder of the 1984-85 license period. Motion declared carried 0 Motion by Scherer, seconded by Heideman to grant an Off -Sale Non Intoxicat- ing Malt Liquor License to Terry Lingen, Roger Lingen and Michael Larson for the remainder of the 1984-85 license period. Motion declared carried a Moved by Crosby, seconded by Heideman to pro -rate the above licenses as follows and not refund the fees paid by the current license holder of the Hill Liquor, according to past practices of the City Council: On-SAle --$ 1122.32 through December, 1984; $1683.50, Jan. -June, 1985 Off -Sale -$ 83.30 through June, 1985 Sunday --$ 166.60 " " Off -Sale Non Intoxicating--$20.00 through June, 1985 Motion declared carried Moved by Heideman, seconded by Crosby to take appropriate measures to amend the cities ordinance regarding the residency requirement for liquor license holders.
