In addition,if anyone else intends to either video or audio tape this meeting they are required to inform the Chair." I. REORGANIZATION II. CALL TO ORDER/AGENDA III. RECOGNITIONS IV. CITIZENS SPEAK V. PRIORITY BUSINESS A. The Laurel School Ann Marie Cotton, Board of Directors from the Laurel School will address the Committee regarding the Brewster School Committee approval of the Laurel School as an alternative to public school, in accordance with M.G.L. Ch. 76. B. Administrators' Reports Principals' Reports Director of Student Services Report Assistant Superintendent' Report Superintendent's Report C. Tools of the Mind Dr. Hoffmann and Dr. Caretti will present information on the release of research findings from the New York University Study. r I D. PARCC vs. MCAS The MA DESE is asking Districts to determine whether they will continue with MCAS testing or switch to the new PARCC assessment next school year. The Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent will present information to the Committee on the pros and cons of the decision. It is anticipated that the School Committee will vote on the matter at this meeting. E. FY14 Budget Update Giovanna Venditti, Director of Finance and operations, will review the monthly expenditure report. The Committee will review the end-of-year spending plans. F. FY15 Budget The Committee will continue discussion on the FY15 budget with a plan to get the budget to the amount voted at town meeting of$6,881,299. G. Policy Update Review policies ADDA Background Checks and ADDA-R DCJIS Model Cori Policy. H. Eddy School Improvement Plan Principal Hughes will review the plan and the Superintendent will recommend that the Committee vote to approve the plan as submitted for 2014-2016. VI. REPORTS AND INFORMATION A. Preschool Enrollment B. Cape Cod Collaborative C. PTO Liaison D. Policy Subcommittee E. Building Needs Subcommittee F. Negotiations Subcommittee VII. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approve regular session minutes of May 15, 2014. VIII. EXECUTIVE SESSION The School Committee will go into Executive Session to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining with union personnel, not to return to open session. IX. ADJOURNMENT
