P.M. AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER
PRESENT: Chairman Jerry Hansen, Board members Adrian Beazer and Secretary Betty
McKinlay.
NO VISITORS.
Brian Stutzman asked to be excused tonight.
The meeting was brought to order. Pledge was led by Jerry.
Minutes from the previous meeting were approved.
Jerry and Adrian discussed the impact area. Adrian has talked to Steve Serr and felt he
was not in favor of us expanding our impact area. Jerry asked to make a note that Kurt
Hibbert , Community Development Specialists, would help talk to the county. Adrian
said he would like the commission to help him go to the county and to get with Brad and
get general outlines of the impact area and get with Kurt with the proposal. Adrian will
head up the committee.
The size of driveways was discussed. Jerry feels something needs to be down on paper.
He is concerned with weed and trash control that the developers create as they build.
Jerry feels we need to be on top of roads and traffic control on the upcoming
developments. Jerry and Adrain had talked to the Mayor, Brad Andersen, about the
environmental impact area. The Mayor had said no to expanding to Ririe Highway and
East to fork in the road at Blacktail. He said we only want our impact area as where our
City grows; First Street to Foothill Road, Lincoln Road and up to the Ririe Highway. We
can only expand where services can go.
Water Rights were discussed. Panorama Hills has water rights and it might be good to
get Panorama Hills. Jerry said that the Mayor discussed getting an engineering firm to
look at Panorama and see what is best for the City.
The Cemetery in our impact area was discussed.
New ideas for roads and traffic were encouraged. The county figures Iona Road will take
care of the traffic. Jerry feels it will not.
