A RESOLUTION CREATING A TEMPORARY SEASONAL (WINTER)
PART-TIME ON-CALL PUBLIC WORKS LABORER POSITION
WITH NO MEDICAL/DENTAL BENEFITS
Whereas, The City has been growing/expanding and adding more streets, and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that it might be in a position to
occasionally need some public works assistance through the winter season With plowing
or any type of major project, and,
Whereas the City would like the option of having an on-call qualified candidate to assist
with some of these project to get completed timely, if necessary;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to create a
temporary seasonal part-time on-call public works laborer position with no
medical/dental benefits at the rate of $12.00/hour.
On the 12th day of November, 2014, at`a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council,' Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced Resolution No. 2014-141, A RESOLUTION
CREATING A TEMPORARY SEASONAL (WINTER) PART-TIME ON-CALL PUBLIC
WORKS LABORER POSITION WITH'NO MEDICAL/DENTAL BENEFITS and made a
motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Bartels
Ayes: Upton, Bartels, Petersen, Ryan, Kahler
Nays: none.
Absent: none.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2014-141, A RESOLUTION CREATING A
TEMPORARY SEASONAL (WINTER) PART-TIME ON-CALL PUBLIC WORKS
LABORER POSITION WITH NO MEDICAL/DENTAL BENEFITS to be adopted and
signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 12th day of November, 2014.
