Leesburg Safe-T-Ride Gets New Look, Amended Route Starting
September 2, 2014
Leesburg, VA (August 28, 2014) – The
Leesburg Safe-T-Ride will get a new look
and an amended route starting on Tuesday,
September 2, 2014, when MV
Transportation, the service’s new operator
under contract with Loudoun County, takes
over operation. The Leesburg Safe-T-Ride is a free shuttle service, funded by the Town of
Leesburg, that provides pedestrians with a safe alternative to crossing the Route 15 Bypass on
foot in the vicinity of Edwards Ferry Road.
The new shuttle bus will display the new Leesburg Safe-
T-Ride logo along with the Loudoun County Transit logo.
The Leesburg Safe-T-Ride operates seven days a week,
except holidays, from 7:00am to7:00pm Monday through
Friday and from 9:00am to 6:00pm on Saturdays and
Sundays. In conjunction with changes to the three local
bus service routes in Leesburg, the Safe-T-Ride route has
been shortened, to allow more frequent service to the
stops on the route. The new route map is available
online at www.leesburgva.gov/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=14077.
