A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY-ADOPTING THE 1980 SUPPLEMENT
TO THE UNIFORM STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR
PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION, 1979 EDITION
WHEREAS, the City adopted the Standard Specifications for
Public Works Construction, 1979 Edition on February 5, 1980 by
I Resolution No; " "80 -1871; and
WHEREAS members of the Southern California Chapters of the
American Publ :c Works Association and the Associated General Con-
tractors of Caiifornia, working as a committee, have compiled a
1980 Supplement to the Standard Specifications for Public Works
Construction, 1979 Edition; and
WIEREAS , a uniformity of -standards will serve to minimize
conflict and cpnfusioninr public works construction and will tend
to lower construction costs for future public works projects through
competitive bidding by private contractors; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets and City Engineer were
both represented on the committee which compiled the 1980 Supplement
and recommend its adoption.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City .Council of the City of Temple City
resolves that:
1. The 1980 Supplement to the 1979 Edition of the Standard
Specifications for Public Works Construction prepared by the APWA -AGC
Joint Committee of Southern California, be adopted.
2. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of
Ithis resolution to the County Road Commissioner as the City's Super-
intendent of Streets and to the County Engineer as its City Engineer.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of July, 1980.

the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting
held on the 1st day of July, 1980, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Dennis, Gillanders, Merritt, Tyrell, Atkins
NOES: Councilmen- None
