- RESOLUTION FOR FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE
US HIGHWAY 6 CORRIDOR TRAFFIC STUDY FOR THE
CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA.
WHEREAS, on October 23, 2014 the Iowa Department of Transportation hereby'
stated they have reviewed the US Highway 6 Corridor Traffic Study for the City of Tiffin
and supports approving the Revised Submittal of September 25th 2014. The IDOT looks
forward to the City of Tiffin's- Council adopting the study's recommendations by a
resolution to allow IDOT to close the contract by the end of 2014 as agreed with
FHWA.
WHEREAS, The IDOT believes that the amended study's recommendations are
worthwhile and will lead to better management for the US 6 corridors especially with the
city adopting the study's recommendations by a resolution. They look forward to
implementing the study's recommendations and access modifications to existing
entrances as the corridor develops to provide motorist and other users with the safest
possible alternatives.
WHEREAS, this study was prepared by Hart -Frederick Consultants on behalf of>
the City of Tiffin for the Iowa Department of Transportation and Johnson C6unty
Council of Government, whose name has changed since the original submittal.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE City of Tiffin, Iowa, that the US
Highway 6 Corridor Traffic Study is complete and acceptable to them.
