A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY DENYING A CHANGE OF ZONE IN
ZONE CHANGE CASE NO. 80 -578
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine and
declare as follows:
(a) That certain property owners have requested a change
of zone from R -2, Light Multiple Residential to R -4, Limited
Commercial -- Residential zone for that certain real property
located within the City of Temple City legally described as:
A Subdivision of Lot 150 of Tract 5904 as per map
recorded in Book 69, p. 29 of Maps in the Office
of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles,
State of California; and
(b) That the City Council conducted a duly noticed
public hearing on such request; and
(c) That based upon the evidence adduced at said hearing,
the Planning Commission minutes and amplicable staff reports,
and each member of the City Council being familiar with the
proposed site, said City Council determines that the zone
change should be-denied for the following reasons:
1. That the public necessity does not require
the proposed change and there is no real need in the
area for the type of zone proposed;
2, That the subject property is more suitable
for the existing zone than the proposed zone;
3. That the proposed zone would be detrimental
to the surrounding area,
SECTION 2. That the zone change application hereinabove des-
cribed be and the same is hereby denied for the reasons hereinabove
set forth.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution,

I hereby certify that-the foregoing resolution was duly adopted
by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting
held on the 1st day of July, 1980, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Dennis, Gillanders, Tyrell
NOES: Councilmen - Merritt, Atkins
ABSENT: Councilmen -None
