Animal Shelter Advisory Committee Meeting
Tuesday, December 18, 2018
Members Present:
Dr. Jim Crago, Vice Chair Dr. Melissa Boldan, Committee Member
Dr. Greg Boyer, Committee Member Karen Jennings

The Animal Shelter Committee met for a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 12:35 p.m. in
the Conference Room, Jefferson City Animal Shelter, 2308 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City Missouri. The meeting was
called to order by Dr. Crago, Vice -Chair. Roll call was taken. Dr. Boyer and Dr. Boldan were present.
Approval of Minutes
Dr. Boyer moved to approve the minutes from September 18, 2018 meeting and Dr. Boldan seconded.
Staff Reports
Karen Jennings reported the Animal Shelter has offered Gift Certificates for adoption instead of people adopting pets for
presents. We have been running the crematorium almost daily due to deer and vet calls. We have asked the Sewer
department to help with hauling them to the landfill. The Shelter has been dealing with some Upper Respiratory and
Coccidia. Cage Replacement was discussed. Dr. Boyer suggested a commercial dishwasher and cages that the doors
could easily be taken off and ran through. Lt. Chad Stieferman introduced himself to the committee.
Review Written Correspondence
No written correspondence.
Old Business
Both the Community Cat and the additional members to the board are still with the Public Safety Committee.
New Business
An Election of the new Chairman was voted upon and Dr. Boyer was voted to be the chair. Dr. Boldan was elected to be
the Vice-Chair.

Meeting adjourned at 1:08.
