A Special Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough ofCarteret
was.called to order by Mayor James A. Failace at 6:00 P.M., on Thursday,
Apn122, 1999,at the Municipal Court/Police Facility, 230 Roosevelt
Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
Upon individual roll call, the following were noted present:
Councilmember Stanley Gutowski
" James Mancuso
" James O'Brien
" Remy Quinones
Also noted present was Borough Attorney Craig 1 Coughlin.
The Clerk stated that on April 6, 1999, in full compliance with the Open
Public Meetings Act, a notice of tonight's meeting was sent to The Home
News Tribune, The Star Ledger and posted on the bulletin board.
To award a bid for the roof and any other business that may come before
the Council.
Mayor Failace said they would not be awarding the bid for the roof
tonight. They have to look at some more numbers before they award that
bid.
Upon MMS&C, by Councilmembers Gutowski and O'Brien and
unaIÚmous affirmative vote of the four (4) Councilmembers present, the
meeting was opened for public input on Resolution #99-148.
There being no comments or discussion on Resolution #99-148, upon
MMS&C, by Councilmembers Gutowski and Mancuso and unaIÚmous
affinnative vote of the four (4) Councilmembers, the meeting was closed.
RESOLUTION #99-168 was introduced by the Mayor and was referred
to the Council for action.

RESOLUTION #99-148
"APPOINTMENTS TO BOARD OF HEALTH"
was adopted. Upon individual roll call vote, Councilmembers Gutowski,
Mancuso, O'Brien and Quinones voted in the affirmative
Councilmembers Crilley and Fazekas were noted absent.

There being no further discussion or business, upon MMS&C, by
Councilmembers Mancuso and Quinones and unanimous affinnative vote of
the four (4) Councilmembers present, the meeting was adjourned at
approximately 6:04 PM.
