Absent: Chris Galazzi, and Dick Philbrick. Liaisons John Jannell, Conservation; Paul Rooker, Finance; and Sims McGrath, oar of I ct n. Chair Jim Hungerford opened the meeting by reporting on the meeting he had with Town Administrator John Kelly on Oct.4. Jim discussed the charge iv n to the OREC by the BOS and felt it was being followed OREC. Jim felt that asking companies and suppliers of energy equipment to submit information to the II within the charge from the BOS. Mentioned there y be additional regulations coming o n from acon Hill. Jim brought the up to date on the progress of the solar projects at the transfer station and the rshe . The ransf r project is progressing and ovin g forward. The watershed project is moving slowly c us it s many more steps. A next step is for the is to meet with the Water and Sewer Commissioners to inform of ro ress and have them endorse the project. Jim mentioned an article distributed vi el which has been from the Late. David also mentioned that Nstar is giving away LED lights toresidential consumers. OREC discussed the creating of a bi-fold/tri-fold to inform the residents of Orleans on the possible benefits from Nstar, Cape Light Compact, and the State on energy issues. Will contact Ken Rowell to assist. Another area that the OREC may consider researching is the fleet fuel consumption fort town. It is a big item for the town and can the OREC assist the town in reducing the usage and money. "Information items and requests should follow a line of communication. All BOS communication should go through Sims McGrath and all town administration communication through John Jannell. Sims and John will then pass the info along as appropriate. Town and CVEC are in discussion because terms have and may be changed because of the different conditions. Other items covered included; Recruiting new members to the committee. Field trips - town water treatment plant and watershed areas. Correspondence from Richard Wolf from Brewster asking out information on the State program in reference to town electric accounts.
