RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HART -FREDERICK CONSULTANTS TO PROCEED
WITH THE OLD TOWN INFLOW AND INFILTRATION PROJECT FOR PREWORK
IN PHASE ZERO AND SEND IT OUT FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES
WHEREAS; the City of Tiffin recognizes the importance of correcting the city's Inflow and
Infiltration of their sanitary sewer system to reduce the storm water flowing into the wastewater
plant.and causing additional expense to treat it.
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin recognizes that fourteen (14) sanitary services and wyes on
College & Railroad Street are located under pavement that is scheduled to be replaced with the
Ireland Avenue project in the spring of 2015. By beginning this phase of the Inflow and
Infiltration at this time it will save the streets from being torn up again after Ireland Avenue is
complete and during the next phases of the Inflow and Infiltration Project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TIFFIN, IOWA, Hart -Frederick Consultants P.C., is hereby authorized to proceed with Phase
Zero of the Inflow and Infiltration Improvement Project and send it out for competitive quotes.
On the 25th day of November, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Ryan introduced Resolution No. 2014-168,
and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Petersen.
AYE: Upton, Bartels, Petersen, Ryan
NAY: NONE
ABSENT: Kahler
Passed by the City Council on the 25th day of November, 2014.
