SPECIAL MEETING

MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER. Mayor Cross called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL. Town Manager Wright called the roll with Council Members Carpenter,
Drake, McCormack and Mayor Cross being present. Council Member Eagan was excused.
Also present were Finance Director Jill Brown, Police Chief Jack Bayer and Nevada County
Sheriff Troy Arbaugh, Town Consultants Joe Hinsberg and Dr. Rolland Dart.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. Waived
PUBLIC COMMENT. None
WORKSHOP REVIEW. Town Consultants from Ralph Anderson & Associates Joe
Hinsberg and Dr. Rolland Dart presented the findings of the draft report Phase I of the
Town's Police Department Study. Discussion centered on current levels of service, County
accounting/billing procedures, staft'mg levels and a series of issues for future consideration.
Council Members asked questions for clarification. The consultants indicated that they were
continuing to research several issues and that the next workshop would focus on specific
service level recommendations in a draft Request for Proposals. The Town Manager will
coordinate calendars for a workshop meeting in early June.
ADJOURNMENT. Mayor Cross adjourned the meeting at 5:35 PM.
