A discussion followed of approval of$10,000 at Town Meeting for the Golf Course meeting room facilities project. It was suggested by Joan Cartstanjen who serves on the CPC that the ACAC identify one project for application for grant funds for 2016. The deadline is December so the October and November meeting should be spent in preparing this. It was agreed that Brewster citizens most frequently request a viewing area at Paine's Creek Beach. The committee agreed to invite Chris Miller and Patrick Ellis to the October meeting to help the committee access needs and an amount for the project. Since the project was discussed previously by the committee, it was agreed to contact Maureen Steinman former Chair for input and to invite her to the October meeting. Joan informed us that recreation funds from CPC are available and therefore we need to get started on the grant process right away. The following are suggestions for Paine's Creek • Increased handicap parking • Viewing platform with view of the beach • Ramp access to the beach • Handicap porta patties in a better location • Storage shed for beach wheelchair Jim O'Leary reported that Herb Montgomery from the Nauset Rotary inquired about the state of the accessible walkway at the Mill Site. The Rotary had pledged funding but has not been contacted. Jim O'Leary suggested that the committee should poll the school children to see what their needs are for future projects. The meeting was adjourned at 2:05 pm. Repectfully submitted, Claire Gradone
