RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING COUNCIL MEMBERS AND CITY STAFF
TO ATTEND THE IOWA LEAGUE OF CITIES' FALL CONFERENCE
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, the Iowa League of Cities' fall conference is being held in Waterloo, Iowa, September 28
through September 30, 2022; and,
WHEREAS, the Iowa League of Cities' fall conference offers valuable training for staff and City officials;
and,
WHEREAS, the City has deemed it necessary and desirable to engage in training that enhances the skills
and knowledge of staff and City officials; and,
WHEREAS, staff and City officials have expressed interest in attending the Iowa League of Cities' fall
conference, including Kelly Krell (Deputy Clerk), and Anthony Heddlesten (Mayor); and,
WHEREAS, it is estimated the cost per attendee with one hotel night is approximately $600; and,
WHEREAS, the City has budgeted funds for City staff and officials to attend conferences in funding
sources:

#001-620-6240 - Clerk's Office Conferences
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1:
The staff and elected officials listed above are authorized to register and attend the
conference at an anticipated cost of approximately $600 per person, payable by the City of
Riverdale.
