RESOLUTION 2022-51
RESOLUTION PLEDGING SUPPORT FOR
DOLLY PARTON'S IMAGINATION LIBRARY PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free books to children
from birth to age five in participating communities within the United States, United Kingdom, Canada,
and Australia.
WHEREAS, participation in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is contingent upon the sponsoring
organization's 401c3 status; and,
WHEREAS, the Riverdale Fire Department is a 401c3 organization, operating under the authority of the
City, and has agreed to sponsor said engagement; and,
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the maximum expenditure in fiscal year 2022/2023 is approximately
$1,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, the funding source for this program is 001-650-6490 - City Hall Miscellaneous Expense.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1: The Riverdale Fire Department is authorized to enter into an agreement with Dolly
Parton's Imagination Library.
