AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT OF THE ARTS
WHEREAS, The National Endowment of the Arts has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Parks Department desires to submit a grant application to assist with the costs associated to run the “Just Us Kids Outdoors” (JUKO) summer program; and
WHEREAS, a local match of $5,000.00 is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Parks Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the National Endowment of the Arts to help fund art supplies for the (JUKO) summer
program.
2. The City of Richmond Parks Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00).
3. Said Funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to help fund art supplies for the (JUKO) summer program.
Passed and adopted this 4th day of February, 2002, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
