BOARD OF PLUMBING EXAMINERS & REVIEW
March 19, 2019

CALL TO ORDER
The Board of Plumbing Examiners & Review met March 19, 2019, in the Boone
Bancroft Conference Room of the John G. Christy Municipal Building. The meeting was
called to order by Richard Hunt, Plumbing Inspector, at 4:00 p.m. A quorum was
present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE JANUARY 22, 2019 MEETING
A motion was made by Brent Haas and seconded by Gary Michel to approve the
minutes of the January 22, 2019 meeting. Motion passed by show of hands.
REVIEW LICENSE APPLICATION
• A motion was made by Brent Haas and seconded by Mike Lage to approve
Charles E. Norton II to receive his Master's license. Motion was tabled by show
of hands, until Charles can provide proof that he has passed the Master
Plumbing Exam.
• A motion was made by Gary Michel and seconded by Brent Haas to approve
Nicholas Vieth to receive his Master's license. Motion passed by show of hands.
OLD BUSINESS
• Plumbing License Renewals: Building Official Larry Burkhardt shared the draft of
a proposed bill which will implement a 3 -year license renewal requirement for
Master and Journeymen Plumbers, as well as increase bonding requirements for
plumbing contractors.
• A motion to approve the bill was made by Gary Michel and seconded by Mike
Lage. Motion passed unanimously by a show of hands.

NEW BUSINESS
None.
SCHEDULE NEXT MEETING
The Plumbing Board's next meeting date is May 14, 2019, at 4:OOpm.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, a motion was made by Gary Michel and seconded by Brent
Haas to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed by show of hands. The meeting was
adjourned at 5:20 p.m.
