ORDINANCE N0, 860
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING
CHAPTER V, SECTION 5:00; CHAPTER VI, SECTION
6.07; AND CHAPTER XII, SECTION 12,04 OF
ORDINANCE N0, 570 (ZONING ORDINANCE},
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain
as follows:
.Section 1, Section 5,00, subparagraph 2 of City
Ordinance No. 570 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"The minimum gross floor areas of units erected within
an R-2 zone shall be as follows:
a, Units comprised of one bedroom, or less, shall
have a minimum gross floor area of not less
than 700 square feet.
b. Units comprised of two bedrooms shawl have a.
minimum gross floor area of not less than g00
square feet each,
e. Units comprised of three bedrooms shall have a
minimum gross floor area of not less than 1100
square feet each."
Section 2, Chapter VI, Section 6,OU~ is hereby amended
to read as Follows: "Section 6,06. Minimum area of dwc-1 a ng units
within the R-3 multiple residence zone. The minimum gross floor
area of units erected within an R-3 zone shall be as follows:
a, Units comprised of one bedroom, or less, shall
have a minimum gross floor area of not less
than 650 square feet,
b. Units comprised of two bedrooms shall have a
minimum gross floor area. of not less than 850
square feet.
e. Units comprised of three bedrooms shall have a
minimum gross floor area. of not less than 1050
square feet.

Section 3. Chapter XII, Section 12.04, subsection b,
paragraph 5, shall be amended to read as f ollows:
"Dwelling - Multiple: Two spaces in a building on the
shall have a minimum floor area of 1050
square feet, and shall add a minimum of 200
square feet for each bedroom in excess of

Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and
directed to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause
the same to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a. newspaper of
general circulation, printed, published, and circulated in the
City of hynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council
of said city, held on the 7th day of January, 1969, and finally
adopted a.nd ordered published at the regular meeting of said
City Council held the 21st day of January, 1969; by the following
vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Byork, Green, Siokos, and Stevens.
Noes: Councilmen - None.
Absent: Councilman Smith.
