ORDINANCE N0, 863
AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
ADDING SECTION 28.14-2 TO LYNWOOD CITY CODE,
PROVIDING FOR THE CHECKING OF PARCEL MAPS BY
THE COUNTY ENGINEER,
The City Council does ordain:
Section 1, A new section, Section 28.14-2, is hereby
"In addition to all other £ees and charges required by
law, upon submitting the final map under the provisions of
Section 11576(c) of the Business and Professions Code, to the
County Engineer of the County of Los Angeles, the subdivider
shall pay to said County Engineer; the final map checking fee,
The amount of this fee shall be determined by a resolution of
the City Council and may, from time to time, be adjusted in
accordance with the agreement executed between the County
Engineer of the County of Los Angeles and the City Council of
the City of Lynwood."
Section 2. Urgency
The City Council finds that an
urgency exists for the passage of this ordinance £or the following
reasons:
a) A tentative map, as provided in the Pa reel Map Act,
has been submitted to the Planning Commission and approved by
that body, In addition, a parcel of that tentative map has
also been.~submitted and approved by the Commission and will be
filed with the County Engineer in the immediate future.
b} At this time, the City of Lynwood does not have a.
parcel checking agreement with the County Engineer and it is
imperative that this agreement be executed for the protection
of the safety,hea th, and public welfare of the residents of
the City of Lynwood a,nd others and, for this reason, this
ordinance must become effective immediately upon passage,'
Section 3, The City Clerk is hereby ordered and
directed to certify to the passage of this ordinance a.nd to
cause the same to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a.
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the
City of Lynwood.
First read and finally adopted and ordered published
a.t a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lynwood
held on the lst day of April, 1g6g, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Byork, Green, Siokos, Smith,
Stevens.
Noes: Councilmen .None.
Absent: Councilmen None.
