A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY REQUESTING CONSENT
OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES FOR THE
INCLUSION OF CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED.AREA.
WITHIN THE CITY'S LIGHTING MAINTENANCE
DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City intends to improve Santa
Anita Avenue from Live Oak Avenue to Grand Avenue by the installation
of street lighting; and
WHEREAS, the installation of such street lighting will benefit
certain properties within the unincorporated area of Los Angeles County
which abut Santa Anita Avenue from Live Oak Avenue to Grand Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City has a City -wide Lighting Mainte-
nance District formed pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of
1972; and
WHEREAS, the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 provides for
the extension of the Assessment District beyond the boundaries of the
City with the consent of the County of Los Angeles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Temple City hereby requests that:
1. The County of Los Angeles consent to the inclusion within
the Lighting Maintenance District of the City of Temple
City those properties within the unincorporated area of
Los Angeles County that abut Santa Anita Avenue from
Live Oak Avenue to Grand Avenue and which benefit from
the installation of street lights on Santa Anita Avenue
in accordance with the Landscaping and Lighting Act of
1972.
2. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy
of this resolution to the Los Angeles County Board of
Supervisors for approval.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted by
the City Council of the City of Temple City, at a regular meeting
held on the 7th day of April, 1981, by the following vote:
