ORDINANCE No. 874
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL AMENDING CHAPTER
20 OF THE LYNWOOD CITY CODE TO PROVIDE FOR TiIE
CCLLEC'PION OF A BUSINESS LICENSE TAX FROM PERSONS
CONDUCTING AN ACT OF ENTERTAINMENT AS A COMMERCIAL
EN'PERPRISE AS DEFINED BY CHAPTER 11A OF THE
LYNWOOD CITY CODE.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
ordain as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 20 of the Lynwood City Code is
amended to add Section 20.55-1 thereto to read as follows:
"Section 20.55-1. Entertainment. The license fee
shall be $150 per year or X75 semi-annually, at the option of the
licensee, for every person conducting or operating an act of
entertainment as a commercial enterprise as defined by Chapter
11A of the Lynvrood City Code."
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and to cause the same to be published once in
the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published, and circulated in the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 20thday of January, 1970 and finally
adopted and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council
held on the 3rd.
