PROHIBITING BOARDING FIOUSES, LODGING HOUSES AND
REST IiONLS WITHIN ANY" "R" ZONL+ IN THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD PENDING STUDIES BY THE PLANT~IIIVG COMMISSION
UPON THE SUBJECT OF WHETHER OR NOT TO REZONE
THESE USES.
The City. Council of the City. of Lynwood does ordain as
follows:
S'ectiori 1. After DTotice pursuant .to Section 65858 of
the Government Code -and public nearing held this 3rd day of January,
1967, City Ordinance ivo. 807, to which reference is hereby made
for greater particularity, is extended for one year.
Sebtiohs2. The City Council .pursuant to the provisions
of Section 65858 of the Government Code deems that it is necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public safety, health and
welfare. that this ordinance go into immediate. effect .for the
following reasons:
Pursuant to the request of the City Council the City
Attorney has prepared a City ordinance amending certain portions
of Ordinance DTo. 570 (Zoning Ordinance) Lo prohibit the occupation.
or use of any building, lot or parcel of land within an R-3 Zone
in the City of Lynwood except pursuant to a special use permit.
The City. Council, as heretofore stated in City Ordinance No. 807,
referred the proposed City Ordinance to the Planning Commission for
the purpose of studies for the purpose of making recom;nendations
to the City. Council. The Planning Commission has completed its
studies and has .recommended to the City that. .the City Ordinance
as prepared by the City council be .adopted.

In as much as the City Ordinance as prepared by the City
Attorney has been presented to theCity Council for the first time
in final form on this date, and will require two readings and
become effective 30 days after adoption. ~1'he City Council pursuant
to said Seetion 65858 of the Government Code adopts this ordinance
extending City Ordinance No. 807 prohibiting the uses described
therein as an urgency ordinance.
Sect-ion 3. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the carne
to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of .general
circulation, printed and published in the City of Lynwood.
First read and finally adopted and ordered published at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the said City. held on the
3rd day of January, 1967, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Byork, Siokos,"Smith, atevens
Noes: Councilmen Duhcan
Absent: Councilmen' None
