ORDINANCE NOo 804
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD OF CER-
TAIN INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "OLANDA
STREET ANNEXATION N0. 1" WHICH IS CONTIGUOUS
TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the "Annexation Act
of 1913" and pursuant to Resolution Noe 66-44 adopted by the City
Council of the City of Lynwood on the 17th day of May, 1966, a special
annexation election was held on the 26th day of July, 1966, in that
certain inhabited territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood designated
as "Olanda Street Annexation No. l," and which is hereinafter more
particularly described, and
WHEREAS, at said special annexation election the following
question was submitted to the qualified electors residing in said
territory:
"Shall Olanda Street Annexation Noe 1 be annexed to
the City of Lynwood?"
WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of
the votes cast at said special annexation election that a majority of
all votes cast in said territory on the question of said annexation
favor annexation to the City of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, it appears that. said special election and all
proceedings relating thereto have been conducted in accordance with law,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the annexation of that certain inhabited
territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood, designated as "Olanda
Street Annexation No~ i" which was submitted at the special annexation
election held on the 26th day of July, 1966, as hereinafter more
particularly described, hereby is approveda
Said territory is described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Westerly Line
of Tract Noe 11270, as per maps recorded in Book 204;

Page 50 of Maps, record of Los Angeles County,
California, and the centerline of Olanda Street,
60 feet wide, said point being on the City of
Lynwood boundary line as said boundary line
existed October 18, 1965; thence Southerly along
said Westerly line of said Tract No. 11270 and the
Southerly prolongation thereof to the Southerly
line of Lot 4, J. J, Bullis Tract, as per maps
recorded in Book 3, Pages 612 and 613, of
Miscellaneous Records, record of Los Angeles
County, California; thence Easterly along said
Southerly line to the Southerly prolongation of
the most Easterly line of Tract No, 11632, as
per maps recorded in Book 210, Pages 29 and 30 of
Maps, record of Los Angeles County, California;
thence Northerly along said prolongation and most
Easterly line to the centerline of Olanda Street,
60 feet wide; thence Westerly along said centerline
to point of beginning.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately
in accordance with the terms of Section 36937 of the Government Code
of the State of California.
Section 3• The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to
be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published, and circulated in the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 2nd day of August, 1966, and finally adopted and
ordered published at the regular meeting of said Council held on the
16th day of August, 1966, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Byork, Duncan, Siokos, Smith, Stevens
Noes: Councilmen None

I, the undersigned, City Clerk of the City of
Lynwood, and ex-officio clerk of the Council of said
city, do hereby certify that the above is a true and
correct copy of Ordinance No. gG!} adopted by the City
Council of the City of Lynwood, and that same was passed
on the date and by the vote therein stated.
