AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
UNITED WAY OF WHITEWATER VALLEY
WHEREAS, the United Way of Whitewater Valley has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the Widowed Persons Service (WPS) desires to submit a grant application to assist with operating expenses for 2003.
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The WPS is hereby authorized to submit at grant application to the United Way of Whitewater Valley to assist with operating expenses for 2003.
2. The WPS is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the WPS, shall be appropriated to assist with operating expenses for 2003.
Passed and adopted this 18th day of November, 2002, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
