session on Tuesday, Aug..30 at the village hall, at 8:00p.m.
Members present: Chairman Bob Roehl, Gerald Dykhoff, dal_ter
Kohn.en, Anne Dorweiler, and James- Adams.
hZatt Reimer's petition for rezoning to permit a sanitary
landfill was discussed.
The planning commissiondecided unanimously from their
investigationthat a need has not been shown for additional
dumping facilities in Medina. Their findi.nws show that the
existing sanitary land fill appears to be capable of operating
into the far distant future and presently accepts all types
of refuse
In addition, the reaction. of surrounding property owners seems
to indicate that the possible effect on tLe_area could be
detrimental..
Therefore, the planning commission recommends to the Medina
Village Council that the request of heir. Reimer for rezoning
to permit a sanitary landfill be denied.
Gerald Dykhoff made a motion to adjourn the meeting,
James Adams Seconded it,&the meeting was adjourned..
