ORDINANCE N0. 797
AN ORDINANCE OF ^1 HE CITY OF LYNUTOOD AMENDING
SECTION 4.7 OF THE LYNWOOD CITY CODE TO ADD
"BEES" TO THE ANIMALS :WHICH ARE FORBIDDEN
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.
Be it ordained:
Section 1. .Section 4.7 of the Lynwood City. Code is
amended to read as follows:
"4:.7.(a) No person shall raise, propagate or keep bees
whether commercially, as a hobby, or as an avocation, within the
City limits of .the City of Lynwood; except that the provisions of
this subparagraph shall not apply to the swarming of bees in their
natural state on a tree, shrub, building or other object. upon any
lot, or parcel of land in said city, provided the owner or occupant
of said lot or parcel of land had no part in causing said bees to
swarm in this manner and is not the owner, or person in charge of,
or in control of said bees;
"4..7 (b) No person shall keep any of the following fowl
or animals within the City: Hogs, geese,- quacking ducks, guinea
hens, mink, foxes, goats, bulls, steers or any other animal whose
fur is used commercially, except rabbits and chinchillas ,.except
that this section shall not apply to the animals herein described.
where such animals are kept in a public park in the city as part
of a menagerie, zoo or show."
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby ordered. and directed
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same
to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published, and circulated in the .City of
Lynwood.
First- read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 19th day of April, 1966, and finally adopted
and ordered published- at a regular meeting of said Council held
on the 2nd day of May, 1866, by the .following vote:
