AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 570 FOR
THE PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PRO-
PERTIES AND THE ADOPTION OF AN AMENDED SECTION
OF THE ZONING MAP WHICH IS A PART OF SAID
ORDINANCE N0. 570,
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain
as follows:
Section 1. The official land use plan of the City
of Lynwood, as established by Ordinance No. 570, is hereby
amended by classifying that property known as "Atlantic Avenue
Annexation No. 6" as follows:
1. The area bounded by Fernwood Avenue on the
North, the first alley east of First Avenue on the
East, Josephine Street on the South, and Harris
Avenue on the West -- Zone R-2.
2. The area bounded by Josephine Street on the
North, Atlantic Avenue on the East, the westerly pro-
longation of Lavinia Avenue from Atlantic Avenue to
the previous city boundary of the City of Lynwood (as
it existed. prior to December 1, 1965 to a point
between Third and Fourth Avenues; thence South along
said boundary; thence West along said Boundary to a
point on Thorson Avenue, and Thorson Avenue on the
West -- Zone R-l, except the property fronting on
Atlantic Avenue -- Zone C-2.
3. In the area bounded by Lavinia on the North,
Atlantic on the East, Carlin on the South, the previous
Lynwood city boundary (as it existed prior to
December 1, 1965) on the~dest, -- Zone C-2 for the
area between Atlantic Avenue and the southerly pro-
longation of the alley between Atlantic and First
Avenue; Zone R-2 for all property west of said
Zone C-2 to the annexation boundary line.

4. The area bounded by Carlin Avenue on 'c he North,
Atlantic Avenue on the East, McMillan Street on the
South, and Stoneacre Avenuxe on the West -- Zone C-2
from Atlantic west to a line consistent with the southerly
prolongation of the alley betwen First Avenue and
Atlantic Avenue; for 'che remainder of the property
between said. southerly prolongation, west to the
Compton city boundary on Stoneacre avengae -- Zone R-2.
5. For the area generally bounded by Fernwood
Avenue on the North, south on the easterly corporate
lines of the city to the centerline of Pelleur Street
to th.e termination of Pelleur Street; thence North
to the westerly line of Alice Avenue; thence West on
Clark Street to Wright Road.; thence North on
Wright Road to Lavinia Street; thence West on Lavinia
Street to Atlantic Avenue; thence North on Atlantic
Avenue -- Zone R-3 except all property between Atlantic
Avenue and the northerly prolongation of the alley
between Atlantic Avenue and Virginia Avenue -- Zone C-2.
6. The area generally described as Lavinia Avenue
on the North, Wright Road on the East, Clark Street
on the South, Duncan Avenue on the West -- Zone R-2.
7. Beginning at Lavinia Avenue and Atlantic on
the North; thence East to Duncan Avenue; thence South
to Clark Street; thence East to the westerly line of
Alice Avenue; thence South to the centerline of
Pelleur Street; thence East on the centerline of
Pelleur Street to the corporate boundaries of the
city; thence South and West along said corporate
boundaries to Atlantic Avenue; thence North on
Atlantic Avenue 'co the point of beginning - - Zone R-l,
except all property fronting on Atlantic Avenue for

one lot .depth from Lavinia Avenue south to Olanda
Street, and Lot s: 3D ,. 31, 3~, 33 of Tract 70gg --
Zone C-2.
Section 2. That said classifications shall apply
in the manner setforth in detail in the amendatory part
E-3,4, F-3,4, G-3,4, of the zoning map of the City of Lynwood,
being a part of said Ordinance No. 570 and which_amendatory
part is made a part hereof.
Section 3. The City. Clerk is hereby ordered and
directed to. certify to the passage of this ordinance and to
cause the same to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed, published, and cir-
culated in the city of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council
of said city held on the 1st day of March, 1966, and finally
adopted and ordered published at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 15th day of March, 1966 by the following
vote:
Ayes: Councilmeh Eyork, Duncan, McMiTlah, Siokos, Smitta.
Noes: Councilmeh None.'
Absent: CouncilmenNone.
