By the time you read this, Canadian Pacific may have already been through Riverdale to raise the railroad tracks. If not, it means they've been delayed and will be coming soon. The project is projected to take 1-2 days, and crews will work overnight from 3:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Expect some lights/noise as they improve their infrastructure. CP will return at a later date to replace the crossing at Fenno Road (the only planned crossing replacement in Riverdale). Summer Kickoff 2022: Ice Cream Social The 2022 Ice Cream Social, held June 4th at Volunteer Square Park, was the City's official kickoff to summer! It was a success thanks to our wonderful residents and friends, along with: MidAmerican Energy Company DCamp Family Band Whitey's Ice Cream Jeff Struve PVHS Service-Learning Program Volunteers!!! We hope you had a good time and look forward to this event next year! Wondering what happens if residents don't mow their lawns in a timely fashion? * Grass becomes a nuisance to others, and they complain. * City sends a letter citing a deadline to mow; past practice has been a 14-day deadline. * If not mowed by that date, our lawnmowing service mows the lawn, and we bill the resident.
