AN ORDIN9NCr, OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD GRANTI[~G CONSENT TO THE COUNTY BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS TO INCLUDE A PORTION OF CARLTN AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD TO BE A PART OF THE COUNTY
SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS,
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain as
follows;
Section l. That jurisdiction be, and is hereby granted
to the County Board of Supervisors, to include that portion of
Carlin Avenue between approximately 570 feet west of Atlantic Avenue
and approximately 870 feet west of Atlantic Avenue, within the city
limits o£ the City of Lynwood, as a part of the System of Highways
of said County, as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704, as amended,
of the Streets and Highways Code, for the purpose of construction
of improvements thereon, and the acquisition of necessary rights of way,
Section 2, This ordinance is urgently required for the
immediate preservation o£ public peace, health and safety in the City
of Lynwood, and shall be in effect immediately upon adoption, The
following is a specific statement showing the emergency of this
ordinance:
The County of Los Angeles is taking immediate steps to
effect the improvement of Carlin Avenue, and this ordinance of
consent is urgently needed in order to proceed with said improvement,
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed.
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause same to be
published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published, and circulated in the City of Lynwood
First read and finally adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council of said city held on the 5th day of May, 1964, by the
following vote:
