RESOLUTION 2022-71
A RESOLUTION CHANGING FALL FEST 2022
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, the 1st Saturday in October is set by Resolution #2019-03 A Resolution Approving Certain
Dates for Community Festivals for the City of Riverdale as the annual date for the Fall Fest celebration;
and,
WHEREAS, Fall Fest is typically held in Bicentennial Park, which is currently under construction; and,
WHEREAS, it is not practicable for the City to plan and execute Fall Fest at this time; and,
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the City hold an alternative event when Bicentennial Park
construction is complete that is a combination of Fall Fest and a park dedication/grand reopening; the
date for this event will be determined at a later time based on construction completion.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1: Fall Fest 2022, scheduled for October 1, 2022, by Resolution, is postponed until
Bicentennial Park construction is complete and an alternative event is planned.
