AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY CpITNCU, OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AMENDING SECTION 12,01 OF ORDINANCE N0, 5'jQ,
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby ordain
as follows:
Section l. That Section 12,01 of Ordinance No.

hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 12,01. Parking ,Space, Every main build.ing herein-
after erected. or structurally altered shall be provided with minimum
paved off-street parking accommodations as £ollows:
"1. For multiple family dwellings, apartment houses, group
houses, bungalow courts and other multiple dwellings, there shall be
at least one and. one-half (1-1/2) parking spaces in a building on the
same lot with the main build.ing for each dwelling unit, When the
application of this subdivision results in the requirement of a
fractional automobile parking space, it shall be construed as requir-
ing one automobile parking space. Such parking space shall be not less
than nine (9) feet wide by twenty (20) feet lon
g, with ad.equate pro-
visions for ingress and egress, Adequacy of ingress and egress is
subject to approval of the Administrative Committee.
~~2. For other d.wellings there shall be at least one parking
space in a building on the same lot with the main build.ing for each
d.welling unit, and. such parking space shall be not less than nine
feet wide by twenty (2p) feet 1on C9)
g, with adequate provisions for
ingress and. egress, Ad.equacy of ingress and egress is eub,ject to
approval of the Ad.ministrative Committee.
"3. For build.ings other than dwellings there shall be at
least one (1} paved parking space for one hundred eighty (180) square
feet on the same lot with the main build.ing or contiguous thereto and.
with adequate provisions for ingress and. egress, as follows:

~~~a) For churches, high schools, college and university
auditoriums and other places of assembly, at least one (1) parking
space for every ten (10) seats provided in said buildings.
~~~b) For hospitals and institutions at least one (l)
p~rking space £or every two (2) beds provided in said buildings,
~~~~) For hotels and clubs, at least one (1) parking space
for ever;y three (3) guest rooms provided in said buildings,
~~~d) For theaters, auditoriums and other similar places
of assembly, at least one (1) parking space for every £ive
provided in said buildings. ~5) seats
~~~e) For commercial and other business buildings such
requirements as the City Council may from time to time provide by
ordinance."
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective the lst
da5~ o£ February, 1963.
Section 3, The Cit;y Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this ordinance, and to cause the same
to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general
circulation printed and circulated in the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regularmeeting of the City Council of said
city held on the 7th day o£ November, 1962, and finally adopted and
ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
20th da~~ of November, 1962, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Duncan, Finch, Ham, McMillan, Rowe.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent; Councilmen None.
