AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LYNWOOD CITY CODE
AND ADOPTING THE 1961 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM
PLUMBING CODE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD:
Section 1, Section 25,1 of the Lynwood City Code is
amend.ed to read as follows:
"Section 25,1. Uniform Plumbing Cod.e--Ad.opted.; where
filed; appeal.
"(a) There ia hereby adopted by the city council that
certain code known as the Uniform Plumbing Cod.e, recommended by the
Western Plumbing Of£icials Aesociation, being particularly the 1961
edition, except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified
or amended by the following section, of which code three copies have
been and now are filed with the city clerk and the same are hereby
adopted. and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein,
and from the date on which this section shall take effect, the pro-
visions thereof ehall be controlling within the limits of the city,
"(b) Appeal. Within 30 days after the chief building
inspector shall re,~ect an application for a plumbing permit or other-
wise make a ruling adverse to the applicant or permittee, the appli-
cant or permittee may file a written appeal with the city clerk
stating in detail the reasons why the permit should. be granted or
the ruling should. not be reversed or mod.ified, notwithstanding the
chief building inspector to the contrary,
"(c) Hearing on appeal. Within 24 hours of the receipt
of the written appeal, provided for by subparagraph (b) of this
section, the city clerk will advise the chief building inspector of
the appeal and within the same period will fix the date and. time for
the hearing of the appeal by the city council, and notify the appli-
cant or permittee by registered. or certified. mail and the chief

building inspector in writing, which date must not be more than 30
days from the date the appeal is £iled with the city clerk,"
Section 2, Section 25,2 of the Lynwood City Code is amended.
to read. as follows:
"Section 25,2, Deletions.
"Subparagraphs 2, 9 and. 10 of Section 1,4 of Part One,
Section 1,7 of Part One, all of Part 2, and subparagraph k, Section
201 of Chapter 2 of the Uniform Plumbing Code adopted in this chapter
are hereby deleted,"
Seetion 3, Section 25,5 0£ the Lynwood City Code is amended.
to read. as follows:
"Section 25,5, Same--Schedule of fees,

For each plumbing fixture or trap or
set of fixtures on one trap (including
water, drainage piping and backflow
protection therefor) 1,25
For each house sewer 5,00
For each cesspool 5.00

For each gas piping system of one (1) to
five (5) outlets 1,5p
For each gas piping system of six (6) or
more, per outlet .30
For each industrial waste pre-treatment
interceptor, including its trap and.
vent, excepting kitchen type grease
interceptors £unctioning as fixture
traps 1.00
For installaticn, alteration or repair
of water piping and/or water treating
equipment 1,5p

For each lawn sprinkler system on any
one meter including backflow protection

For vacuum breakers or backflow protective
devices on tanks, vats, etc, or for
installation on unprotected plumbing

Section 4, The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to
be published. once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general cir-
culation printed and. circulated in the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said. city held on the 15th day of
May

finally adopted and ordered published at a regular meeting of said
council held. on the 6th d.ay of June , 1962, by the
following vote:
