The following seetions of the Lynwood City Code are hereby repealed: 2,3, 2,4, 4.15, 4.16, 4,17, 4.18, Articles II and. III of Chapter 4(Section 4,19--Section 4,27), 19.3, Chapter 17 (Section 17,1 to Section 17.45, inclusive)~ 30.8 and. 30,9, Section 2, Section 4,7 of the Lynwood City Code is amended to read as follows: "Section 4.7. "(c) There is hereby adopted by the city council amendments to the Health Code of the County of Los Angeles which constitute changes in the county basic Ordinance No. 7583, said amendments having been enacted by county Ordinance No. 8095, effective November 17, Zg6t," Section 5, Section 22,108 of the Lynwood City Code is amend.ed to read as follows: "Section 22,108, Establishment pursuant to state 1aw. The city council hereby d.eclares that Vehicle Parking Districts Nos. 1 and 2 of the city as designated and described. in section 22,109, have been d.uly formed under the provisions of the Vehicle Parking District Act of 1943, as amended (Ord, No. 659, Section 3 and Ordinance No. 683, Section 3)." Section 6. Section 22,109 of the Lynwood. City Cod.e is amended to read as £ollows: "Section 22.109, Boundary established; exception. "The boundary of Vehicle Parking District No. 1 of the city is hereby fixed and determined as Pollowa: "Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 324 of Tract No. 2551 as shown on map recorded in Book 24, pages 78, 79, and 80 of Maps, Record.s of Los Angeles County, California, thence westerly to the northwest corner of said Lot 324; thence southerly to the northeast corner of Lot 333 of said Tract No. 2551; thence westerly to the northwest corner of said. last mentioned lot; thenee southerly to the southwest corner of Lot 334 of said '~'ract No. 2551; thence easterly to the southeast corner of said Lot 334; thence southerly to the northeast corner of Lot 337,of said last mentioned. tract; thence westerly along the northerly line of said Lot 337, 50,00 feet; thence southerly in a direct line to a -3- point on the southerly line of Lot 340 of said last mentioned tract, distant thereon 50.00 feet westerly from the southeast corner o£ said lot; thence southerly to the northwest corner of Lot 402 of said. Tract No. 2551; thence southerly to the southwest corner of said last mentioned. lot; thence south- easterly to the most northerly corner of Lot 462 of said Tract No. 2551, said point being on the westerly line of the first alley westerly of Long Beach Boule- vard; thence southerly along said last described line to the northwesterly line of Fernwood Avenue (40 feet wide); thence southeasterly along said last described line to the westerly line of Long Beach Boulevard; thence northerly along said last described line to the point of beginning; provida.~,;, however, that any road or parcel of land in any other public use belonging to the State or to any county, city, d.istrict or to a public corporation, in use for the performance of a public funetion and lying within the exterior boundary of the parking district described in this section, is not included in this district, (Ordinance 659, Section 3). "The boundary of Vehicle Parking District No. 2 of the city is hereby fixed and determined as follows: "Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 308 of Tract No. 2551 as shown on the map record.ed in Book 24, pages 78 to 80 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, California, the point of beginning being on the easterly line of Long Beach Boulevard, eighty feet wid.e; thence southerly along the last described. line to the south- westerly corner of Lot 380 of Tract No. 2551; thence easterly to the southeasterly corner of Lot 380, this point being on the westerly line of the first alley easterly of Long Beach Boulevard; thence northerly along the last described line to the northeasterly -4- corner of Lot 308; thence westerly in a direct line to the point of beginning; provided, however, that any road or parcel of land. in any other public use belonging to the State or to any county, city, d.istrict or to a public corporation, in use for the performance of a public function and lying within the exterior bound.ary of the parking district described. in this section, is not included in this district. (Ordinance No. 683, Section 2)," Section 7. Section 27,5 of the Lynwood City Code is amend.ed to read as follows: "Section 27.5. Repair and construction of sidewalks and driveways abutting new buildings, "In all residential and commercial areas, the owner, in taking out a permit for a new building, must repair broken, damaged. and worn out sidewalks abutting his property, and where no curbs abut his property, construct the same, all at his own expense, The building inspector is instructed to withhold final inspection of the building until such work is completed to the satisfaction of the city engineer, In all commercial areas, the owner is required to construct concrete sid.ewalks in the parking strip or setback areas between the curb and building line prior to final build.ing inspection. If this work is in, but in a poor or hazardous cond.ition, in the opinion of the city engineer, or not constructed to proper grade, such work will be removed and. replaced by and at the expense of the owner prior to such final inspection of the build.ing. "Where an existing d.riveway is no longer required, the owner shall remove such driveway and restore the original improvements, (Ordinance No. 709, Section 6)," Section 8, Section 30.21 of the Lynwood City Code is amended to read as £ollows: "Section 30.21, Operation from place other than stand, garage, etc, "It shall be unlawful for any taxicab to be operated from any place in the city except a stand authorized by the city council -5- or traffic authority in accord.ance with sections 30.31•and. 30.32 or Chapter 22 or from a private or public garage or parking space on private property. (Ordinance No, 571, Section 36)." Section 9, The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed., published. and circulated in the City of Lynwood., First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said city held on the lst day of May, 1962, and finally adopted and ord.ered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 15th day of May, 1962, by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Duncan, Finch, Ham, McMillan, Rowe.
