A RESOLUTION EXTENDING TERMS OF THE GARBAGE CONTRACT WITH
BOB'S SANITATION FOR GARBAGE DISPOSAL SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the Garbage Contract between Robert E. Hawks and Moab
City Corporation was approved by the Moab City Council on June 16,
1992; and
WHEREAS, the Garbage Contract expires on June 30, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the Moab City Council has determined that it is in
the best interest of the citizens of Moab to extend the terms of
the Garbage Contract for one year beyond the original expiration to
accommodate adequate preparation of a Request for Proposals for
solid waste collection services; and
WHEREAS, Robert E. Hawks is agreeable to an extension of the
contract; and
WHEREAS, a copy of the Garbage Contract is attached hereto,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the
City of Moab that the Garbage Contract is hereby extended for one
(:- year and shall continue in full force and effect until June 30,
1997.
PASSED AND APPROVED in open Council by a majority vote of the
Governing Body this 11th day of June , 1996.
