AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING
CITY ORDINANCE 708 OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain as
follows:
Section l. City Ord.inance 708 is amended by ad.ding
Section 8.1 to read. as follows:
"Nothing contained in Sections 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 of this
ordinance shall prohibit the keeping of more than one male rooster,
more than one male turkey, more than twelve fowl, more than twelve
breeding rabbits or hares, nor geese, quacking ducks, guinea hens,
mink, fox, goat, bull, steer or any other animal whose fur is used.
commercially, in any public park where said.fowl and/or animals are
a part of a zoo, menagerie or show, provided that such £o,wl and
animals shall not be kept therein in such numbers as to constitute a
public nuisance, or to endanger the health or safety of the public,
and any person keeping said animals in said park shall comply strietly
with the Health Code of the County of Los Angeles as adopted by the
City of Lynwood by this City Ord.inance 708, and. the regulations of
the Health Department of the County of Los Angeles and the Uniform
Building Code and of the laws of the State o£ California."
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and. directed to
certi£y to the passage of this ord.inance and to cause the same to be
published. once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published in the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said.
City held on the 21st day of March, i961, and finally adopted and.
ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held. on the 4th
d.ay o£ April, i96i, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Duncan, English, Finch, Pender. Rowe_
Noes: Councilmen None.
