ORDINANCE N0. 714
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD CREATIN~3 AND
ESTABLISHING FIRE ZONES F03 SAID CITY,
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain as
follows:
Section 1. TiZe entire incorporated area of the City of
Lynwood is hereby declared to be and is hereby established as a fire
district and. said. fire district shall be known and d.esignated as
Fire Zones 2 and 3, respectively. Reference is hereby made to
"Uniform Building Code, 1958 Edition, published. January l, 1958, by
Pacific Coast Building pfficials Conference," as adopted by Ordinance
No. 682 of the City of Lynwood. All land and structures within the
City of Lynwood. included in said Fire Zones 2 and 3 shall be restricted.
for said zones in the manner prescribed by said Uniform Building Code,
Section 2. Fire Zone 2 shall include all territory within
the City of Lynwood. now or hereaf'ter zoned or used for a commercial
use pursuant to the zoning ordinance of eaid City. All other parts
of said city now or her2after not so zoned shall be included in Fire
Zone 3.
Section 3. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any
of the regulations pertaining to Fire Zones 2 or 3 as herein provid.ed
and as provided in said Uniform Building Code shall be dsemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof sha11 be punishable by
a fine o£ not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment
in the city jail of the City o£ Lynwood or the county ,jail of Los
Angeles County, State of California, for a period of time not to exceed
six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Each sueh person, firm, or corporation shall be deemed.
guilty of a separate offense for every d.ay during any portion of which
violation of any provisions of this ordinance is committed, continued,
or permitted by sueh person, £irm, or corporation, and shall be punish-
able therefor as provided by this ord.inance.

Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby ord.ered and directed
to certify to the passage of this ord.inance and to cause the same
to be published. once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general
circulation printed and circulated. in the City of Lynwood.
First read. at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 17th day of January, 1961, and finally ad.opted
and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Couneil held on
the 7th day of February, 1961, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Duncan, English, Finch, Pender
and Rowe.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilmen None.
