Graphic Communication Students’ Work Featured in
Leesburg Town Hall Art Exhibit
Leesburg, VA (December 1, 2014) – The
next installation at the Leesburg Town
Exhibit Hall will feature work from
graphic communication students at
Monroe Technology Center. The exhibit
will be on display from December 5,
2014, through the end of February 2015.
There will be an opening night reception
with light refreshments at the First
Friday opening on December 5, 2014,
from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
The work featured is from Pam Smith’s
graphic communication classes. Graphic communications is a two-year program offered to 11th
and 12th grade students and introduces students to the graphic communication industry. This
program provides technical training in design and digital imaging. The second year of the
program emphasizes production with advanced training using various pieces of equipment and
software applications. Digital imaging, customer service skills, employment, and job seeking
skills are covered as well.
The graphic communication students from Monroe Technology Center who will be displaying
work at the Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall are Mariah Brodbeck, Willy Clair, Stephanie Frehn,
Oscar Galan, Gustavo Garcia, Timmy Harris, Julia Hamilton, Maria Herrera, Zoe Hundertmark,
James Laman, Rachel Levinrad, Colin Pack, Chris Routt, Tara Sbitany, Olivia Sanders, Arcadia
Santana, Austin Weber, Dylan White, and Jackson Whitehouse.
Monroe Technology Center is located in Leesburg, Virginia, and part of the Loudoun County
Public School System. It is an instructional cent er that serves as the site for twenty-six Career
and Technical Education elective courses. The instructional focus is to prepare students with
the knowledge and skills for a wide range of careers requiring varying levels of education from

with career exploration in diverse fields that are constantly evolving due to the changing global
economy.
The Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall (LTEH) features rotating exhibits by Leesburg and Loudoun
artists. The LTEH’s next exhibit will be in March 2015 with Laura Mazer exhibiting her pastels
and oil paintings. Artists interested having their work considered for a future exhibit in the
