AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA
PROHIBITING THE MAKING OF FALSE REPORTS TO THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT.
The City Council o£ the City of Lynwood does ordain as
follows:
Section l. No person shall wilfully make to the Police
Department of the City of Lynwood any false, misleading or unfounded
report, for the purpose of interfering with the operation of the
Police Department or with the intention of misleading any police
of£;cer.
Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof shall be punished by imprisonment in the city jail or in
the county jail for not exceed.ing six (6) moffiths or by a fine not
to exceed $500.00, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in
the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation printed and.
published in the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on the 8th day of June, 1960, and.finally adopted and
ordered published at a regular meeting of said. Council held on the
21st day of June, 1960 by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Duncan, English, Finch, Rowe.
Noes: Councilmen None.
Absent: Councilmen
Pender.
