AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ESTABLISH-
ING A SETBACK LINE ALONG PORTIONS OF THE FIRST
ALLEY EASTERLY OF SANTA FE AVENUE,
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
ordain as follows:
Section 1. That there is hereby established a building
setback line of fifteen (15) feet on the westerly side of the first
alley easterly of Santa Fe Avenue extending from the southerly line
of Lot 4, Block 14, Belle Vernon Acres, as shown on map recorded in
Book 9, Page 196 of maps, Records of Los Angeles County, California,
to the northerly line of Lot l, Block 14, of said last mentioned.

Section 2. It appearing that this ordinance affects the
health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of Lynwood, and
that an urgency exists which requires that this ordinance shall become
immediately effective on the ground that the first alley easterly of
Santa Fe Avenue extending from the southerly line of Lot 4, Block 14,
Belle Vernon Acres, as shown on map recorded. in Book 9, Page 196 of
maps, Record.s of Los Angeles County, California, to the northerly
line of Lot l, Bloek 14, of said. last mentioned. tract, is very narrow;
that new multiple buildings are about to be erected on lots which
border this alley, and the City Council is informed that it is planned
to erect multiple build.ings within thirteen (13) feet of the westerly
side of said. alley, and that unless this ordinance becomes effective
immediately, improvements may be erected. in said area and the rights
of ad.joining owners erecting said improvements may intervene.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage o£
this ordinance, and the same shall take effect and be in force
immediately. The said City Clerk shall cause said ordinance to be
published once in the Lynwood. Press, a newspaper o£ general circula-
tion printed, published, and. circulated within said City of Lynwood.

APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th day of September, 1959, bY
the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen English, Finch, Pend.er, and Rowe.
Noes: Councilman Summers.
Absent: Councilmen: None.

I, the undersigned, City Clerk of the City of Lynwood, do
hereby certify that the above and foregoing ordinance was duly adopted
by the City Council of said city at a regular meeting of said City
