COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, JUNE 3, 2019
CALL TO ORDER
In the absence of Mayor Carrie Tergin, President Pro Tempore Rick Mihalevich called
the June 3, 2019 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at 5:47 P.M. to review the agenda.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Graham, Hensley, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich, Prather,
Schreiber, and Ward
Absent: Wiseman
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilman Kemna will lead the prayer.
Appointments
- Chris Yarnell’s appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission requires
a 2/3 majority vote for a third term.
Announcements
- The June Committee on Administration meeting has been cancelled for
Wednesday, June 5th.
Bills Introduced
- Matt Morasch, Director of Public Works will present bill 2019-018.
Mayor Carrie Tergin arrived at the meeting at 5:49 P.M.
Bills Pending
- Mr. Morasch will present bills 2019-012, 2019-013, 2019-014, and 2019-015
Informal Calendar
- Councilwoman Ward and Councilman Graham will take bills 2019 -004 and
2019-007 respectively, off the informal calendar. Sonny Sanders, Director of
Planning and Protective Services will present both bills.

Resolutions
- Ryan Moehlman, City Counselor will present RS2019-1.
- Fire Chief Matt Schofield will present RS2019-2.
New Business
- Mayor Tergin will request a motion to go into closed session pursuant to Sec.
610.021(19).
Under Item 3, Adoption of the Agenda, Mayor Tergin will request a motion to amend the
agenda, adding a JCStrong Proclamation presentation by Mayor Tergin.
