Faythe Ellis made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Roger O'Day. • Treasurer's Report: Operating Budget: The balance in the Annual Budget is $1926.53 ($2676.53- $750 for the miller) Gifts and Donations: $12,039.04 Repair Budget: $27,000 i Outstanding Bills: � Hubco: Bags $1146.15 Stamp update $85.00 i 3 • New Business: 1. Upcoming Dates: 3 3 a A. Monday,April 20, 2015,Barbara Brennessel who wrote "The Alewives Tale"will be giving a talk at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History and Doug volunteered to meet her and anyone who is interested at the Mill in the afternoon at 2 pm,to view the Herring Run. B. Saturday, May 2, 2015 is Brewster in Bloom. The mill will be grinding 10-2, volunteers will be needed. `d C. June 17, 2015 morning,Brewster 3Graders—Volunteers will be needed 3 I 3 i By I D. Regular summer schedule starts 6127115, and ends on 8/29/15 (Labor Day weekend) E. Brewster Conservation Day/Mills and Gills Combo 7/11/15 a. Indian pudding b. Peggy Erickson to do a"Simple Machines" talk. F. August 29, 2015 is the last day of the mill being open, and will be the Annual Cornbread Festival. 2. Repairs: We now have a$27,000 budget approved at town meeting to go towards shingling,painting and sills. 3. Corn: A. Corn: 1. Due to the cost of organic corn,we arc going to reduce the cornmeal in the cloth bags from 2# to 1 1/z#for$5. 2. There will also be paper bags with 1#of cornmeal selling for$2. 3. Need a cool, dry place to store the corn. 40-50#bags of corn are in one ton. Maybe at the thrift store at Town Hall? Or at DPW? 4. Doug offered the mill's grinding services to Sandwich mill since their site will be down until June. 4. There is an article in the April,2015 issue of Cape Cod Life on the Stony Brook Grist Mill. 5. Rolly Bassett donated his labor and materials to install a plug on the wall in the museum for a flat screen tv that Faythe has, to play the dvd by Paul Gazek and the loop made by Stan Godwin. 6. Doug and Dana are looking into building a shed on the Grist Mill property for the Port-a-potty, which would also have room for signs under the roof, and a storage area. It might be a salt-box type shed with a front porch. Approx 6' x 8',plus shed all for less than$2000. 7. When Dana was in Nova Scotia,he took pictures of a loom there with wooden blocks. He also took measurements and will get the information to Pat Stark Feinstein for the barn loom in the museum. 8. Dana is looking for a work party for Saturday,April 11, 2015 for stonework and cleaning up the site. 9. Also,need to rebuild a wall that has fallen in. 20-30 ft of concrete needs to be put between the two streams, and face it with stone, hopefully this next fall. 10. Also,the wishing well is supposed to help drain the hillside, but the pipe is rusted shut. He will use an air compressor and blow rod and install a new steel pipe,this spring. 11. Also, Doug or Faythe is going to call Paul Gazek to order 100 dvd's inexpensively. 12. Emily Sumner has now been added as Administrator for the Stony Brook Facebook Group.
