RESOLUTION.OF,INTENTION_TOAPPROVE.AN
AMENDMENTTO_CONTRACTBETWEEN THE_ .
BOARD OFADMINISTRATION_OF_THE_PUBLIC_
EMPLOYEES! RETIREMENT_SYSTEM_AND_THE _
CITY.COUNCIL.OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
• WHEREASi'the.Public.Employees!_Retirement Law_permits
the participation of_public_agencies_and_their_employees in
the Public Employees' Retirement System_by_the execution of
a contract;_and sets forth.the_procedure_by.which_said_public
agencies may,elect.to_subject.themselves and their employees
to amendments to said Law; and
WHEREAS,one of the_steps_in the procedure to amend this
contract_is_the.adoption:by:the.legislative_body_of the,public
agency:of_a_resolution:giving notice.of.its_intention to
approve_an_amendment_to_said_contract,_which_resolution shall
contain-a summary of the change proposed in said contract; and

WHEREAS, the-following is a statement of the proposed
change:
To provide Section 20024,2 (Oneyear final
compensation),_Section.20862.8_(Unused sick
leave credit),_and_Section.20930.3 (Military
Service_Credit).as defined in Chapter 830,
Statutes_of_1976, all for local miscellaneous
members.
NOW, THEREFORE,.BE,IT_RESOLVED, that_the.governing.body
of the.above_agency.glves, and_it_does_hereby give notice of
tntention.to-approve an amendment_to.the.contract_between the
said governing_bodT_and the_Boardlof:Administration of the
Public.Employees' Retirement System,.a.copy.of said amendment
being.attached hereto,_as an "Exhibit" and by this reference
made .a part hereof.
