RESOLUTION APPROVING DAVEY TREE
PROPOSAL FOR TREE FERTILIZATION
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor and a representative from Davey Tree inspected trees at the parks in the City; and,
WHEREAS, Davey tree recommends fertilizing trees at City Hall, Van Gundy Park, Peggy's Park, Volunteer
Square Park, and in the cul-de-sac at Elmhurst Lane this fall; and,
WHEREAS, Davey Tree has submitted a proposal to fertilize trees at the aforementioned locations in the
total sum of $630; and,
WHEREAS, the funding sources for this action are:
• 75% # 001-430-6490 Parks — Miscellaneous Expense
• 25% # 001-650-6490 City Hall — Miscellaneous Expense
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1:
The Mayor is authorized to accept the proposal from Davey Tree in the amount of $630 to
fertilize trees at City Hall, Van Gundy Park, Peggy's Park, Volunteer Square Park, and in the
cul-de-sac at Elmhurst Lane this fall.
Passed and approved this 8th day of November 2022.
