COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, JUNE 17, 2019
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Carrie Tergin called the June 17, 2019 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at
5:45 P.M. to review the agenda.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Hensley, Hussey, Kemna, Prather, Schreiber, and Ward
Absent: Graham, Mihalevich, and Wiseman
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilman Fitzwater will lead the prayer.
Miscellaneous
- Steve Crowell, City Administrator, along with Police Chief Roger Schroeder
will present the June Outstanding Employee Service Award to Police Officer
Charlie St. Onge.
- Mayor Tergin will present the St. Louis Blues Hockey Proclamation and then
the song, “Gloria” will be played.
- Gail Strope, Human Resources Director, will introduce the City’s Summer
2019 Interns.
- Austin Petersen from KWOS will speak on the Mid Missouri Disaster Relief
Radiothon.
Councilman Mihalevich arrived at the meeting at 5:53 P.M.
Presentations from Staff, Consultants & Invited Guests
- Fire Chief Matt Schofield will introduce members from Missouri Task Force
One who assisted the day of, and days after the May 22nd tornado.
- Matt Morasch, Director of Public Works will provide an update on the tornado
clean-up and relief efforts.
Bills Introduced
- Mr. Morasch will present bills 2019-019, 2019-020, and 2019-021.

- Ryan Moehlman, City Counselor will present bill 2019 -022.
- J.J. Gates, Assistant Director Parks will present bills 2019-023 and 2019-024.
Councilman Kemna, sponsor of bill 2019-024 will make a request to suspend
the rules, and take up the bill for third reading and passage.

- Mr. Morasch will present bill 2019-018.

New Business
- Mr. Moehlman will present a review of the City Charter.
