Ribbon Cutting Scheduled for West Market Street Sidewalk
Leesburg, VA (January 25, 2021) – Please join Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burk and Town Council
members at a ribbon cutting dedication for the West Market Sidewalk Improvements.
WHAT: West Market Sidewalk Ribbon Cutting
WHEN: Friday, January 29, 2021

WHERE: Corner of Ayr Street NW and West Market Street
The West Market Sidewalk improvements began in spring 2020. The project was added to the
Town’s Capital Improvement Program to address an ADA issue at the intersection of Ayr Street
and West Market Street and to create a wider and safer sidewalk for pedestrians. With this
project, approximately 0.2 mile of sidewalk was replaced along the north side of West Market
Street between Morven Park Road and Ayr Street, new waterline and storm drainage were also
installed to improve the entire area. The project was constructed to current standards and now
